Reinnoirea designului se refera la procesul de prelungire a termenului de valabilitate a inregistrarii unui design. Dupa ce un design este inregistrat, drepturile asociate cu acea inregistrare sunt, in general, valabile pentru o anumita perioada de timp, dupa care pot expira, cu exceptia cazului in care sunt reinnoite. Design-ul este valabil pentru o perioada de 25 de ani in total, iar reinnoirea este acordata pentru durate succesive de cate 5 ani.
